Inmarsat has been awarded the “Best Satellite Service Provider of the Year” for the second year in a row at SAMENA 2010 Telecommunications Council. SAMENA gives awards to providers for their leadership and quality of service in telecommunications in the regions of the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa.
Perry Melton, Chief Operating Officer with Inmarsat said, “We are extremely honored and pleased to be presented with the award for Best Satellite Service Provider for the second time.”
The award process is made possible by a number of leading telecom professionals from across the telecommunication industry serving as evaluators. The winner of this award is determined by the SAMENA awards evaluation committee and voting by the general public.
Thomas Wilson, CEO and executive managing director of SAMENA said, “On behalf of the SAMENA awards committee we congratulate Inmarsat for their successful year.” Wilson went on to say, the awards were granted upon the most deserving telecom organizations. The committee assessments came from their experience and knowledge of the telecommunications industry which found Inmarsat to be the Best Satellite Service Provider.
Inmarsat has been a leader in the satellite communication industry for over 31 years. Inmarsat has a constellation of 11 satellites which provide voice and data communication around the world from virtually anywhere to everywhere on the planet.
Inmarsat has just launched its first handheld satellite phone called the IsatPhone Pro. This new satellite phone will provide both voice and data to users from virtually anywhere in the world. The IsatPhone Pro will be very competitively priced at about half of what the Inmarsat satellite phone is currently selling for.
